Hand made wooden furniture and gifts using reclaimed/recycled wood…
My passion has always been to create, pencil draw and paint and my husbands passion is woodwork. We are so thrilled to have the opportunity to combine our passions into a small personal Art, wooden furniture and gift business.
We are fortunate to work from home in Rural Mid-Wales. Whilst Duncan is making the furniture and small gift items in our workshop, I get involved with some of the fret work and can be painting and drawing in my studio and shop.
Our ‘Shed shop’ and ‘Studio/shop’ are open and we welcome visitors.
We also display and sell our goods at the Dyfi Arts Guilds gallery and shop, Y Plas, Machynlleth – www.dyfiartsguild.co.uk – where you can also buy my hand painted cards and wooden key rings.
I also paint ‘Pet portraits’ on paper, canvas and on furniture items, particularly the milking stools which make a lovely personal gift. Please see my face book page for up to date news and follow us – www.facebook.com/allthingsgoodandallthingswood
We share ideas and between us create new things, in the hope that others will enjoy for themselves or get enjoyment and pleasure buying for dear friends, family and/or loved ones…go on and have a peep and treat yourselves! 🙂

Anthony Hartley brings together the essence of British eccentricity, high design and craftsmanship in an irresistible range of inventive and innovative pieces.
Inspiration comes from his endless curiosity about design, architecture, engineering and art, and from designers including Frank Gehry, Gerrit Rietweld and Paul Smith.
The technical integrity of the pieces is achieved through his years of experience of joinery and creating furniture by hand, understanding the technology and science of his materials and pushing to the limit the stress of woods, ply and plastics. Hand finishing and the closest attention to detail means that each piece looks amazing and performs perfectly.
Anthony works from an old mill in the Pennine village of Haworth where he has developed a workshop, upholstery studio and art gallery; www.damsidemill.com
I am City and Guilds qualified in upholstery and love what I do. I have a small workshop at the bottom of the garden, where I retreat to and indulge in my passion.
At Appleby Upholstery the chairs are stripped right back to the framework and completely restored, any woodwork will also be restored. I use both traditional methods of upholstery and modern, where appropriate.
I will add my own creations from time to time, with an eye on Mid-Century styling. With quality craftsmanship at the heart of everything I make. I hope you like my pieces, they were a labour of love.
