Alex Pole Ironwork was established in 2006 to provide high quality, contemporary and functional metalwork for the home and garden.
Alex has had a lifelong passion for metalwork of all types and started his training as a jewellery maker in 1990, he followed this with blacksmithing in 1994, and has worked professionally in both fields ever since.
Both modern and traditional techniques are used at the forge in South Somerset where all work is produced by hand and, wherever possible, using materials sourced from the local area.
As well as developing new products for the range Alex spends a great deal of time designing and making bespoke commissions for private clients, project managers and furniture designers. He also runs regular courses in blacksmithing.
One of his primary aims is to promote British blacksmithing and to make it accessible, and affordable, to the general public.
Alex is fully committed to running a sustainable UK business and will reuse, recycle, and salvage when and where he can.
AlliSport Ltd has become synonymous with turbo diesel tuning and bespoke aluminium motorsport fabrication, particularly for Land Rover products. Due to our consistent quality of workmanship and high level of expertise, we have developed a worldwide base of satisfied customers, with over half of our sales now export orders meaning our name has spread far and wide.
AlliSport differ from many of our competitors in that we design and manufacture all our products in-house. Our renowned high quality intercooler fabrication combined with British Standard Coded aluminium TIG welding, CAD design and CNC machining, has led to our expansion into the design and manufacture of other products such as high performance water radiators and header tanks, long range fuel and water storage tanks, oil coolers and many more bespoke items. We are happy to work to your designs or our own.
We have chosen not to offer general servicing or vehicle styling as we prefer to concentrate on what we specialise in – developing and manufacturing the best products possible and we now supply most other tuning specialists and off road race vehicle manufacturers.
Promotional Point of Sale (POS) display in the UK is incredibly high speed and involves thousands of component products being sourced from around the world. In the maelstrom Alplas provides a safe haven. A reliable UK based manufacturer who innovates and delivers right first time, on time.
As the UK’s original POS accessory company, known throughout the international display industry, and injection moulding manufacturer, Alplas is the source of many display accessory products in use today throughout the UK.

Alplas continues to invest in manufacturing capability and bring forward future product developments and the best advantages of cost effective UK manufacturing for the POS market and other industries.
Alplas has a reputation for finding innovative, low cost solutions to POS display problems and providing the right product to do the job. In total that is 236 years of being in business for the three divisions that are now housed together at the Armac Brassworks in Duddeston, Birmingham. In a very simplistic and historical sense, Brass Turned Parts make the parts, Armac then dress, assemble, and finish the parts, and finally Martin stock, sell and distribute the parts.
In addition to that Armac has its’ own foundry source for sand-castings, has its’ own internal press shop for pressed plates etc, and also lays down forging tools for Hot Brass Stampings.
Today (well, since 2004 to be precise!) we have moved to a purpose built factory unit in Duddeston, Birmingham. In that time the boundary lines between the different businesses have blurred and customers have crossed over between divisions. Our methods of manufacturing have modernised and streamlined to make us a far more efficient manufacturer/distributor of furniture components and ancillary brass products. And these components and products are used in a wide variety of market places both here in the UK and abroad internationally. Today we are a truly global business.
