Adrian Higgins Visual Art

I am a freelance visual artist living and working in rural Herefordshire. I am a painter and printmaker but I also embrace newer digital technology to produce
my work. I draw on the local environment for inspiration that includes a diverse range of wildlife, natural colour, rich texture and pattern. I also have a passion for visual literacy and creating narrative through image.

Much of my work has been created through collecting and collaging found photographs, wallpaper swatches and Victorian ephemera. I use digital imaging software to refine my ideas and to produce high quality limited edition digital prints.

I always strive to create humorous, quirky and often provocative works of art.
They are available as limited edition prints and greeting cards.

Working from my studio in East London, I get to spend my days designing stationery and lettering for all of your most splendid events. From large event signage to tiny place names, I can draw fancy lettering on everything and anything at your request.
As well as designing wedding stationery, I have collaborated with the wonderful Kitty Farrow, book binder extraordinaire and one half of The Compartment Store, to create our own range of luxury and bespoke wedding details – launching July 2016.

Angie Spurgeon

I’m a freelance illustrator, graphic and surface pattern designer based near the beautiful Quantock Hills in Somerset, UK. I love creating cheerful, pretty & sometimes witty, illustrative greetings cards, stationery, gift wrap & fabric. Inspired by life in the west country, my designs mostly celebrate all things British – with a scent of the seaside, caravan holidays, cream teas and glorious afternoons spent pottering in the garden listening to the blissful chirp of birdsong.
When I’m not designing greetings cards, I’m often found collaborating with other artists, designer makers and small business owners, using my Graphic Design & Marketing skills to enable them to build a creative and beautiful brand. I am very passionate about all things hand-crafted and enjoy helping others in a similar situation, nurture businesses created to live a life doing what they love.

If you’re interested in stocking my designs or commissioning or obtaining a license to use any work, please use the contact form on this site to say hello.

For me, it’s all about raising a smile and putting a bit of warmth and colour back into the world.

Anna Jacobs
, ,

All our products are made in Britain and created in London by the British artist and designer Anna Jacobs. Here she talks a little bit about her background –
I studied painting at Camberwell College of Arts and interior design and styling at Chelsea College of Arts and Central St Martins. The acclaimed painter, Trevor Bell (a leading member of the younger generation of St. Ives artists), very kindly offered to give me support and mentoring after seeing my paintings in 2005 and has provided invaluable advice over the years.

I sold my first painting to my sixth form art teacher in 1985 and since then my work has been bought and commissioned by private collectors across Europe.

My interior design business is focused on domestic interiors and private clients, with clients often commissioning my paintings for their interiors.
In January 2015 I officially launched my first collection of homewares, including cushions, lampshades and lamp bases, as well as silk scarves. My products all have beautiful art at their core, as well as a sense of craft and hand-made about them.
All our greeting cards are printed on a beautiful matt textured water colour type paper made from sustainable resources that gives them the look and feel of real miniature artworks.

Family holidays in a bright orange campervan are where it all began. When Anorak’s founder and creative brain Laurie Robertson embarked on her annual Summer (and sometimes Winter) childhood camping trips equipped with little more than a map, a camping stove, and a packet of marshmallows for company, she never imagined where those journeys would take her.
The paint on the orange camper has long since faded, but Laurie’s love for family, colour and countryside hasn’t. So in 2009 she decided to create Anorak. A British lifestyle brand on a mission:

” To bring fun to functional products and to invite the great outdoors into homes (and caravans, campers, tents and teepees) all over the world. “

Please check with us as to which products are made in the UK. Thankyou

April Daisies

April Daisies designs and creates a small but unique range of products, all made with love here in gorgeous Northumberland … just for you!

April Daisies was born after many years of making things for my own home and as gifts for friends and family. In 2006, with a lot of support from my husband and family, I began to make things to sell at craft fairs locally and to supply several gift shops.

In January 2007 I created my own website and April Daisies became an online shop!
April Daisies has evolved over time and our main focus is now creating a stylish range of noticeboards and concentrating on bespoke orders. We no longer supply to trade.

Our aim has always been to make affordable luxuries, something useful and attractive and definitely not found on every High Street! Something special to give as a present and to treat yourself.
If there’s something specific that you’d like then we’ll do our best to meet your requirements.

We make to order for weddings and special occasions, providing a unique momento for your special day.

Our products are all finished to the highest possible standard and being handmade each one is slightly different and therefore unique.

Ashdown Workshop

Ashdown Workshop was formed early 2012 and was officially launched in May 2012. We’re a small family run business, father and son to be exact, and are located in Sussex, England. We focus on 100% handmade and handcrafted items, mainly those formed from leather. The business was set up through our desire to design, produce and own items of the highest standard and quality. Our main leatherworker started out working in saddlery in the 1970’s, having the pleasure of making saddles of the highest standard and quality for the royal family amongst other things. After honing his skills for many years, we’ve been lucky enough to utilise his skills. We work with original antique leather tools, no plastic parts or stanley knives here. These superior quality tools and our extensive knowledge in the leather trade allow us to produce products with no use of any kind of machines whatsoever. All of our products are hand-cut and hand-stitched, a technique now rarely used due to the affordable access and speed of modern sewing machines. We pride ourselves on the ability to make products in this way, something on which the whole business is built upon.
